Some paintings come to life in a way that feels almost magical—The Vision Within is one of those pieces. A celebration of nature, imagination, and the deep connection between the two, this watercolor has quickly become a favorite in my community. And now, I’m beyond excited to share that the original is stepping into the spotlight, featured in an upcoming Boulder Art Association show—my very first as a North Boulder Art District (NoBo) member!
This piece began with a vision—the belief that the world we dream of, one where nature thrives and we live in harmony with it, is still possible. In The Vision Within, a woman's profile seamlessly blends into a cascade of animals and foliage, weaving a surreal tapestry of life. A playful turtle, a majestic horse, a resilient whale, and other creatures emerge from her thoughts, a reminder that the natural world isn't separate from us—it is us. Art has the power to inspire action, and this piece is my love letter to the beauty worth protecting.
